Chef/ Owner Jerod Rockwell
Native Jerod Rockwell started cooking with Protectworth catering company in Springfield, NH, after cutting his teeth (and meeting his future wife, the lovely Jennifer) bagging groceries at Cricenti's Market as a teenager. Under the tutelage of Chef John Rego, co-owner of the Protectworth company, Jerod's culinary seed was definitely planted.
After moving to Colorado, Jerod worked for Champps Restaurant in the front and the back of the house, fine tuning his cooking and organizational skills.
While attending the Colorado Institute of Art's culinary program, Jerod worked at Bistro Jou Jou and restaurant Kevin Taylor, which is one of the top five restaurants in Colorado. Kevin Taylor has received many accolades, including the Grand Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator Magazine and consistently receiving one of Denver's only Mobil four-star ratings.
When Jerod moved back to the Northeast, he worked as the Tournant Chef at Simon Pearce Restaurant in Quechee, VT under the auspices of Chef Rob Newton who had just come fromNew York after working for famed restaurants such as Le Cirque and Tabla.
Jerod has come to the Rockwell's at the Inn from Traditions Restaurant at Lake Sunapee Country Club, where he had been running the fine dining restaurant there and overseeing the catering for executive functions and elegant weddings.
Jerod and Jenn, who is the bookkeeper for the New London Inn,
live on site with thier son, Jacob Leenan Rockwell.
